Today was going to be a rest day, but we had the ‘bug’ and bad weather was forecast for Monday
so we decided that we would walk from Einsiedln to Alpthal. When we arrived in Einsiedln,
the weather was not too good - misty and then the fog began to descend.
Still it was a pleasant walk, stopping at Kloster Au, the Benedictine sister’s convent,
to look at the church.
We walked as far as the beginning of the climb to Haggenegg but left that for another day.
We returned by postal bus to Einsiedln where we joined the monks for Vespers and Eucharist,
a real treat.
