At this point travelling to the next stage became a little complicated due to a mountain being between
us and the arriving point. We took the car to Kloster Fischingen and took the bus to Wil then the train
to Tobel. Once in Tobel we began where we left off. We passed a man collecting grapes from the walls
of his house and he called out to offer us some of his harvest which we gratefully accepted.
All the way along this stretch there were walnuts and apples lying near the paths.
In Münchwilen we stopped in a restaurant where all the cutlery and crockery was ex Swissair -
and the cakes were very good. From there we walked on open land and then followed a stream for quite
a while. We passed a house with a lovely welcoming sign for pilgrims for to stop for whatever they would need.
Climbing up to Kloster Fischingen through a woods was very pleasant. On arrival we visited the church.
Angus put his feet into the opening over Saint Ida’s tomb- he was having trouble with his tendons
and she was known for the healing of feet. We stayed for Vespers and then drove back to Wald.
