We took the train and bus back to Beinwil, and then followed the suggested path, winding upwards
through forests and finally meadows to Hohe Winde, at 1204m the highest hill around with 360 degree views.
It did, however, live up to its name of Highly Windy! The over the other side, where we had a warm
soup in the Ski Hut there, and downwards through muddy cattle meadows. There was a warning about how dangerous cows
can be defending their calves, and they certainly seemed interested in us! The rain got quite heavy on the way down,
and so we got to test out our rain capes - not so easy in the wind. The final route was closed,
and the tourist bus only ran occasionally,
so we trudged down roads, through a gorge, down to Welschenrohr where we got the bus and trains back.
