Jakobsweg from Oberdorf via Solothurn to Biberist

A Solothurn delicacy!

Returning to Oberdorf where we left off in the summer, we continued with the Baslerweg from Oberdorf through Solothurn to Biberist. From Oberdorf we went along a ridge looking over the plains to the alps, and looking down on Solothurn, to the top entrance to the Verena gorge, with its hermitage, chapels and grottos. After admiring the chapels and absorbing the peacefulness of the place, we followed the tranquil stream down to Solothurn, advertised as the most beautiful baroque town in Switzerland. There we sampled the local delicacy, and then followed the Aare and then the Emme to Biberist.
