We left the modern AirBnb and set off across the fields, continuing to see the Pyrenees in the distance,
and avoiding the trap of falling into deep, clay lined ditches. We found a modernised little village with
combined shop and café, Monségur for a snack-pause, and then continued on to Peyre, where nothing was open,
so we had our picnic lunch on the school steps. Then on through fields and old roads to a church on a hill
at Castelner, past old road way-markers. Finally we found the farm guesthouse, and were welcomed by the
farmer and shown around. We watched the cows being fed, saw the old well in the kitchen, and a model
of the original farmhouse. The room was quaint but comfortable, and we had dinner with a group of
racing enthusiasts who were there to support their friend who was driving in a nearby race that weekend.
