We set off in pleasant morning sun deeper into the land of the beast of Gevaudan, passing yet another
defensive Tour des Anglais. Today we met up with various other pilgrims, some of whom we were to meet again.
We also started to travel through more desolate countryside, with forests and moorlands.
We passed by one hostel in the Domaine du Sauvage, where we paused for a drink.
Later, we found a quaint little refuge for weary pilgrims at Saint Roche, after which we moved into the
region of Occitanie, where the beasts that were hunted were boars. The day ended with our arrival
at a country hotel with a new dormitory annex for pilgrims.
