We set off from home for Interlaken by car and parked at the railway station (Ost) and took the train to Brienz.
The walk took us to a hanging bridge which Sue did not like (but had no choice but to cross!).
This bridge is, in fact, removed during the winter. It was another ‘up and down’ day but as beautiful as ever and we so enjoyed it.
It was longer than we are used to but we didn’t have a lot of walking to do before or after which helped.
The views over the lake were just gorgeous. We had to walk up to a Reformed church in order to get a stamp at Oberried
and Sue was reluctant as reformed churches are often empty and uninteresting but we were very surprised to see a beautiful
very meaningful interior even though it was only 50 years old. Every walking day is so different but it always holds
something interesting.
