We left Contamin-Sarzin under blue skies and mostly followed a Roman road starting off by passing a
waterfall which was very cut out of the rock. Again, we had been unable to visit the church as it
was locked. There were beautiful small villages but as before, no shop until Frangy.
Again, we learnt that one should always buy provisions for a couple of days at a time whenever
there was a possibility to do so. Frangy is a small town with a tourist office (where we spoke
to a very pleasant lady) and all amities. (For those who need, there is a public washing machine
and dryer outside the Carrefour-contact at the outskirts of the town). And then we climbed and climbed!
We had been looking for a suitable place to eat lunch but ended up sitting on the edge of the path
under some shady bushes as it was quite warm. Arriving at the Marie in Designy, we found a toilet,
water and a pretty church. The views were amazing and well worth the climb.
We arrived at the gate Edelwisse and met with a Swiss, Peter from Luzern.
We had a simple but comfortable room with bedding already provided and ate a nice meal with Peter.
